Luukku house

Luukku House is the first-ever zero energy building in Finland. The house was designed in the Aalto University Department of Architecture. The multidisclipinary team combined several experts from different fields. Luukku took part in the Solar Decathlon competition in Madrid during the summer 2010.

Almost everything in the building was measured. Teerenhovi developed an intuitive user interface for the house, which was in use during the Madrid competition. Visitors got a comprehensive understanding about the different aspects of the building, like the humidity, energy usage etc.

The house was also presented through exhibition panels, where the vast amount of data was edited to clear and compact information graphics. The panels were printed on paper surfaced plywood.
